Ruby Rare & Ray Prendergast – ‘Press On’

Press On is a collaboration between Ruby Rare and Ray Prendergast including photography, sound and textiles. Ruby and Ray have fallen for each other quite unexpectedly. This show marks the moment of obsession.

Stretched and bitten, ingested and compressed. Our gay teenage tumblrs brought to life and amped up on viagra. Wildly overcome, screaming sappho into each others cunts (too much?).

Ray Prendergast is a performance multidisciplinary artist working in music, costume design, dance theatre & visual art. Their work explores identity, fantasy and politics, combining the real and dystopian existence with a cinematic and hopeful glimmer. They are one half of the performance art duo Pink Suits and run many community events including ‘Queer Cxntry’, ‘Punk & Judy’, ‘Pride Rock’ & Teatime Socials among others.

Ruby Rare is an award winning sex & relationships educator. Author of Sex Ed and The Non-Monogamy Playbook, Feeld’s resident Intimacy Expert, and a newly qualified Intimacy Coordinator, she brings warmth and curiosity to conversations many are still too afraid to have. More recently she has begun incorporating visual arts into her work, creating zines Ladyfister and How We Connect.
