Nadia Eloise, David Tovar, and Michel Cubillos (Mique) – ‘Three-way’

13/08/26 to 19/08/26

This show originated with us simply playing, sharing, and talking about how our work—although different in style and medium—could come together. We found ourselves focusing on the running theme of intimacy that we all explore through imagery of bodies, sexuality, and the uncovering of our own identities, while pushing against the boundaries and limitations that society places on us.

We cheekily imagined bringing our work together as a threesome, through our three distinct perspectives, our shared curiosity, and our sense of play. We wanted to explore what lies beneath the surface of the basic ideas of sexuality that are so often associated with this word: fantasy, stereotype, or pornography.

But the idea of a threesome can reveal much deeper questions about desire, intimacy, vulnerability, validation, power, connection, and self-discovery. It opens up emotional connections and psychological landscapes that exist beneath what is censored or labelled as dirty.

We hope to create a visual connection that goes beyond carnal desire. Perhaps a safe space where you can see yourself. By openly exploring personal desires, fantasies, kinks, fetishes, and emotions, we aim to create a space that celebrates our bodies and the idea of pleasure—one where you can draw your own conclusions about what you are seeing and feeling.
